White faced whistling ducks…..

…..now there’s a name and a half! Anyway that is what I’m sharing with you today. Another siting at WWT Arundel. 

These duck are also somethings referred to as tree ducks, although they don’t spend that much time in trees! 

Theses colourful birds spent ages preening and cleaning each other’s feathers. Apparently this is a form of bonding with their mates (as well as having a practical purpose!) 

I love the expression the the face of this one – it’s looking very content!
