Bee photograph wins spot in calendar

Earlier this year I was very excited to find out that one of my images had been selected to feature in the 2018 RSPB “Inspiring Nature” calendar. The image chosen was my bee photograph. The Bee is climbing up the stamen of a yellow flower.

This week I received my copy of the calendar, which was really exciting, finally seeing my image in print! I am so proud to have my image featured with so many other amazing photographs.

RSPB Calendar competition

Each year this charity brings out new products to sell in shops all around the country to raise money.

The charity has a wide remit but ultimately it comes down to protecting the natural environment and its inhabitants. With this in mind they ran a competition to look for images under the theme of “love nature”. They were looking for all aspects of nature and wildlife to feature in their new calendar.  My entry was of a bee holding onto a stamen on a flower.

The RSPB is a UK charity who raise money to create and preserve environments where  nature can thrive. I am over the moon that one of my images will be assisting with fund raising for this worthy cause.

Copies of the calendar can be purchased from shops around the country or online from the RSPB website.
