Some eclectic photographic art

This month I decided to enter some of my favourite “safe” photographs into the Guilds “Image of the Month” competition. I often feature wildlife and floral photography in my art, and this month it is a mixture of both. So sit back and enjoy my eclectic photographic art!

Birds and Flowers!

First up, I decided to look back over some of my favourite floral images. This carnation had featured a great deal on this website! But it is one of my favourites. I decided to re-edit the photograph giving it more of a fine art feel.

Next are these cute birds, an adult duck and a duckling. I must admit this one is not “straight of the camera”! These birds were photographed walking along with a big group of ducklings. I wanted to isolate this particular one as it was walking in step with the adult duck. It makes for a more striking image. So I removed the additional birds and extended the background for a more pleasing composition.

Finally, I wanted to share this Hooded Merganser. I loved the patterns in the water in this image which offsets this bird having a stretch wonderfully!
