Looking back at 2018
As 2018 draws to an end it is a time to reflect on the highs and lows of the year. So today I am going to be looking back at 2018 – my photographic journey.
The Highs
I started the year sharing a blog post about my new light pad and the plans I had for capturing some new and interesting photos using it.
I have enjoyed using this gadget this year as it has allowed me to capture flowers in a new way.
Also at the beginning of the year I discovered that I had been awarded the photographer’s bar from The Guild of Photographers. This gave me a huge boost to my confidence!
It has also been a fantastic year for me personally as I have been learning new skills and developing new techniques. These continued improvements have resulted in a collection of bronze awards from The Guild of Photographers.
I have created an ebook allowing you to find out what can be seen and photographed throughout the seasons.

I have spent a great deal of time exploring my style and experimenting with alternative genres of photography. This year I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone. I have photographed a newborn baby, some pet portraits and carried out a commercial shoot in a warehouse. I have also continued to build my Redbubble shop and added more content to my stock photography sites.
The Lows
It hasn’t all be plain sailing for me this year. I have really struggled to “feel creative”. Even though I have had plenty of photo opportunities come my way. I have struggled with finding inspiration in my own time. Back in July I was really struggling with this and took myself off on a 50:50:50 challenge. This helped a lot to get me more
