Behind the scenes of the Magical Meadow
The idea for this image was inspired by nature. The natural world around us can deliver so many opportunities for images, if we just stop, take a moment and really see them.
You don’t have to go far to get inspired. I was staring out my window, pondering the state of our back garden. It is really starting to look established after many years of my husband working hard on it. On this particular day, the lawn had grown a blanket of yellow Catsear flowers. Although usually an unwelcome weed, on this particular day it reminded me of a meadow full of wildflowers.
The country was still in semi-lockdown at the time, so my imagination was clearly taking me somewhere other than my house!
Photography in nature
So all set to capture a new image I went outside and photographed my feet among the flowers.
It didn’t take much Photoshop wizardry to turn my back garden into the Magical Meadow! A few extra layers of my dress and a hint of brushwork soon transformed this image.
