Get inspired by the new covid safe Museum exhibition this December

Each year Littlehampton Museum runs an open exhibition. The Museum invite members of the community submit artwork to be considered for display in the gallery. This year they have made some changes but there will still be a museum exhibition!

Littlehampton Museum exhibition

At the start of the year, the Littlehampton Museum put out an open call for artists to submit their work for display in one of their galleries. The country was in the middle of Lockdown at the time, so the museum asked for people to submit work inspired by the events of the year.

I decided to submit one of my pieces inspired by the emotions surrounding Lockdown. The first piece I submitted was “Shock”.

The exhibition was due to be on display throughout September this year, with the art displayed in one of their galleries.

Due to the circumstances this year, the physical exhibition could not go ahead. The Museum decided to hold an online exhibition in December instead.

However, there is a silver lining in this scenario. Artists were invited to submit more work into the exhibition.

This allowed me to submit two more from my Lockdown series. I decided to share “denial” and “guilt”.
