Change inspires a new aspirational photo challenge
In my day job I have been set the challenge of providing a series of images on the theme of change. This challenge lasted for four weeks. Each week I had to provide a new set of images.
Changing faces
Firstly, I decided to look at my changing role. We have all had to adapt to new ways of working and even learn new skills to facilitate the work. This series looks at this in a bit more detail.
Changing states
Next, I took a closer look at the science of change. This conceptual series looks at the literal changes of state that happen in objects around us.
Hands of Change
During the third week of the challenge, I decided to focus on hands. I don’t know about you, but my hands have taken a bit of a battering over the last year. With extra hand washing, and using hand sanitiser, my hands are constantly dry and cracked. This element of change is something so many of us have been experiencing.
Changing Landscapes
Over the last year, my local area has started to look a little different. A single-carriageway road is being developed into a dual carriageway. A lot of this work has been going on throughout lockdown. This has made it very strange to leave my house, as every time I do, something else has changed! I thought I would spend the last week of this project looking at the changing landscape around me.
Adapting to change
In conclusion, we have all had a challenging year and have had to do all we can to get through it. This project was inspired by the changes people have faced during 2020. Also, it is a wonderful record of what we have been going through.
