Another Month, another set of images here is September 52!

This month I gave myself an even more significant challenge! I started a new job (going from part-time to full-time). However, I didn’t let this deter me from continuing with my 52 frames project! Here is what I managed to achieve for September 52.

Week 35: Edited by someone else (self-portrait)

So I might have chosen my editor poorly here!! I decided to ask my youngest daughter to edit my self-portrait. After a few minutes of “I don’t know how to edit” and “what am I supposed to do,” she went off and created this!! It made me laugh as I have been watching “the Sandman” on Netflix (with my husband – my daughter has not been watching it!) and it immediately reminded me of the Corinthian.

I enjoy making dark art from my images, and I think I may have influenced her editing style!!

Week 36: Golden Hour (indoor studio portrait)

When I thought about the golden hour it made me think about change. Either we are entering a new day or the day is ending. With the weather not playing ball here in the UK to capture the golden hour in nature, I was forced to create it indoors (while enabling me to get the extra credit!)

I was also a little time short this week, having started a new daytime job. So looking around the house to pick my subject, I spotted some dying flowers. I felt that they fit with the theme of change perfectly!

Week 37: portrait of a stranger (two strangers)

Ok so I think I am stretching my interpretation a little this week. I have had no time at all this week. And while meeting friends for birthday picnic this afternoon I was introduced to my friends 8 day old baby (so technically a stranger!) here is my big child having a cuddle with the small person.

Week 38: one light source (use a cookie)

This week we had to use one light source to create dramatic shadows. I decided to go for something simple. However, I did like the shadow created around the hole in the shell!
