New Newt images now available on Alamy
As part of my day job, I was lucky to get close to some baby newts! I have now added some of these images to my Alamy portfolio. However, I thought sharing the story behind these Newt images would be interesting.
Baby newt images
I needed to use some pond weed for a scientific experiment for work. I wanted to keep the pondweed for future experiments so popped it into a fish tank. A few weeks later while collecting some weed for another experiment, I noticed some movement in the bottom of the tank. On closer inspection, I noticed a baby newt!
Due to time constraints, I had to wait a couple of days to get the time to rescue the newt. However, a few days later, I was able to clean out the tank and rescue it.
It was during this process that I had another surprise! It turned out that there wasn’t one newt by 6!
Being a photographer, I had to capture some images before releasing them!
Once I got these images I returned them to their pond!
