As autumn approaches here is September 23

Another month and another set of images from my 52 frames challenge. Here is September 23. If you missed August 23 be sure to check it out.

Week 35: Edited by someone else (self-portrait)

I sent my editor a picture of my bearded dragons. She came up with this brilliant interpretation! It reminds me of those video clips of dogs going wild when they see other dogs on the TV!

Week 36: Triangular composition (Hire a model)

I took myself off for a walk to enjoy the late summer we are experiencing in the UK. It was hot and bright! This meant I was getting some very high-contrast images. So, I decided to colour-tone my image in Photoshop to pick out the silhouettes and gradients. What I particularly enjoy about this image is picking out all the different triangles within it. There is the apparent triangle using the three separate points, and then the three people on one paddle board make up another. Even the shape of the man’s arms while paddling makes up a triangle!

Week 37: Backlit (Rim Lighting)

My hubby’s harvest of tomatillo fruits is starting to drop from the plant. I have been saving some up as I thought they would make an interesting subject to photograph. With the paper-thin shell, the light passed through them wonderfully, highlighting the texture.

Week 38: Wabi Sabi (HDR)

This discovery made me smile. It tells such a story. Someone was having a bad day when they were painting the lines on the road!

Week 39: Red (use a gel)

A close-up of a classic post box in the UK. This one is a little older than some dating from the reign of George VI (1936-1952).
