An afternoon by the beach with the birds

Part of my daily routine is to go for a walk after work. I find this is great for clearing my head, helping me to relax. I also love that I get some exercise. I have got into the habit of taking my camera on these walks to capture some of the world around me. Today I am sharing an afternoon by the beach with the birds!

The beach with the birds

I am fortunate enought to live by the coast. And this is one of my go to venues for an evening stroll. The views can be spectacular with changing cloud formations and different coloured lights reflecting off the water. There is also an abundance of wildlife to spot.

Today I am going to share some of my latest images of the coastal wildlife. One of the most common birds to spot in the south of England is the gull. However, some of the gull species being on the UK Red list for their numbers declining. They are still widespread in the area and often seen as a nuscience as they have adapted to beg for food, and will often steal food directly! This week I managed to capture a couple of new images of this loved and hated speicies!

The crow

Another common bird to see by the beach in the crow. I watch them for ages foraging through the seaweed for food! Getting the light right is cructial for photographing them, as the details in the feathers can be lost so easily.
