Dramatic ruins image – how it was created!
I have been taking a lot of pictures lately. As a result, I have not been creating many of my photo art images. I did spend a fun afternoon creating this dramatic ruins image. This was created from a couple of my recent photo walk photographs.
Behind the scenes of the dramatic ruins image
I have taken a few walks after work over the last few months. I try to take my camera along and snap some pictures. However, I am not always inspired by what I take. Or I don’t have a theme or project in mind.
So when I get home and have a moment I start to play with some composites. This is where you combine 2 or more images to create a new scene.
Full moon photograph
The first image in this composite is a close-up of a full moon. I photographed this back in August 2024. It was the rare blue moon which was also a supermoon. I photographed it and used it for one of my 52 frames images in August 24.
Creepy ruins
The second image was from some farmland I passed on one of my walks. The weather was stormy and the crows were restless in the sky. They settled for a moment on this ruined building. It looked so dramatic!
Photoshop magic
I decided that combining these images would make for a wonderful fantasy image. The association with the creepy crows and a full moon made for a logical combination.
