July 25 – more images from my 52 frames project
Summer has hit us hard here in the UK. I have still managed to fight through the heat and get some new images photographed for my 52 frames project! Here is July 25. If you missed June 25 be sure to check that out too.
Week 26: Fluid (use an ND filter)
As the UK is currently being hit by a series of heatwaves, I thought i would use that as my inspiration for my image this week. I used cornflour to create a non-newtonian fluid to stand this carebear into. I then coloured the fluid to match the colour of the icecream.

Week 27:Frame in a frame (leading lines)
I used a small mirror to use as a frame for my self portrait this week. This was my third idea as my previous ideas failed!! It took a while to get an image that I was happy with!

Week 28:In the style of (Recreate the lighting)
This week, I took my inspiration from Dali and his image “soft self-portrait with fried bacon”. I love a bit of surreal art and have always admired the work of Dali. I also love creating composites. The creative process is fun, I sit there making adjustments thinking to myself “this isn’t working”. Then I will make another adjustment or change direction with my idea and suddenly think that the image comes together!

Week 29: something new (remote trigger)
I have got to the point in my life where I am now needing to wear a hat in sunny weather. We have had a couple of heatwaves recently and my hair parting was getting sunburnt. I have never been a hat person, they never really suit me. So when I found this one and really liked how it looked on me I had to buy it. Since then I have had a period of good fortune, so my family have declared this my lucky hat!

Week 30: Unusual Crop (prime lens)
I spent an afternoon in my garden with my macro 100mm lens. There were many spiders and webs, and it wasn’t’t long befoire a found this one catching its lunch! I photographed the whole spider, but when I took the image into photoshop I noticed the lovely leading lines from the web. I dicided to create a more sinister look, but cropping out part of the spider.
