52 Frames of 2025: A Year Seen One Frame at a Time

In 2025, I committed to a simple but demanding goal: make one meaningful photograph every week for an entire year.

Fifty-two frames is about showing up consistently with a camera and an open mind.

What started as a personal challenge quickly became something deeper—a way to slow down, pay attention, and document a year of my life one frame at a time.

Why 52 Frames?

The idea behind a 52 Frames project isn’t about perfection. It’s about practice, curiosity, and consistency. Each week I was given a theme to inspire an image. Some weeks I had time to plan a concept or chase light. Other weeks I grabbed moments in between everyday life. Each image reflects where I was—creatively and personally—at that point in the year.

Together, these photographs tell a much bigger story than any single image could on its own.

The Work

Below is the complete collection from my 2025 52 Frames project.

You’ll see:

  • Experiments with light, color, and composition
  • Quiet, in-between moments
  • Personal spaces and familiar places
  • Creative risks that worked—and a few that didn’t

Some frames came easily. Others took multiple attempts or pushed me well outside my comfort zone. All of them taught me something.

What I Learned

This project reminded me that:

  • Progress comes from showing up, even when inspiration feels thin
  • Constraints can be incredibly freeing
  • Small, consistent effort adds up to real growth over time

Looking back through these images now, I don’t just see photographs—I see seasons changing, ideas evolving, and a clearer understanding of my own visual voice.

Thank You

If you’ve followed along during the year, offered feedback, or simply taken the time to look—thank you. Sharing work publicly is vulnerable, and your support made this project even more meaningful.

I hope these images encourage you to slow down, notice more, and maybe even start a creative project of your own.
